Minister for Social Protection Leo Varadkar has a 14-point lead on fellow Fine Gaeler Simon Coveney in the race to the party leadership.
Mr. Varadkar, despite having a zero track record on achievements either as Health Minister or at his current tenure -other than scraping five extra euro for pensioners, and ‘fighting hard’ for it-, has now a clear shot at the top job.
Meanwhile, Taoiseach Enda Kenny remains steadfast in his intention to stay on for as long as humanly possible, stating last night that he’d ‘be around for a long time.’
