The Minister for Sport Shane Ross has said serious questions must be answered in regards to the Governance of the FAI.
Minister Ross who was speaking in the Dáil on Thursday, also said the recent findings at the organisation is something that has to be reviewed thoroughly.
Although Minister Ross did say he is willing to discuss the issue at great length but not until Sport Ireland completes its review.
He added that it was highly important that Sport Ireland is given adequate time to conduct its review and all accounts are heard.
The Sport Minister’s comments come after it was reported that the FAI’s CEO John Delaney gave the organisation €100,000.
However Delaney who stepped down from his role last weekend has maintened the money was a bridging loan which was immediately payed back to him.
