Today might be dismal in places but thankfully it appears that it’s about to get warmer and and sunnier as the week goes on.
Met Eireann, the national forecaster, has said:
“Outbreaks of rain will continue to clear away eastwards and sunny spells will develop this afternoon.
“There will be sunny spells this afternoon and evening but scattered heavy showers also.
“It will be a mild day with top temperatures ranging from 17C to 21C in freshening southwesterly winds.
“Sunday will be a bright, fresh blustery day with sunny spells and passing heavy showers in places.
“Temperatures of 15 to 18 degrees in fresh to strong southwesterly winds veering westerly.
“The outlook for next week is for warmer weather to develop after a fresh start with showers.
“Cool and windy tonight and mostly dry with clear spells.
“Tomorrow will be a mild and mostly dry day with just a few scattered showers about.
“Temperatures of 15C to 18C in moderate westerly winds backing southwesterly. Lowest temperatures 10C to 13C.”
