Mixed reaction to Chief Medical Officer finally admitting that coronavirus vaccines are ‘not performing as well as hoped’

There’s been a mixed reaction to comments made by Ireland’s CMO about the effectiveness of the vaccine.

Ireland’s Chief Medical Officer Dr. Tony Holohan has finally admitted that coronavirus vaccines are ‘not performing as well as hoped.’

The admission was inevitable, since there are thousands of new cases daily, despite a ‘successful’ vaccination program. Co. Waterford for example has a 14-day incidence rate of 1,486 -three times the national average- despite having one of the highest vaccination rates in Ireland.

Among many other admissions by Mr. Holohan reported by the Irish Mirror, “It is possible for people who are infected, and who were vaccinated, to be infected and to transmit that infection.’
