Mixed reactions to Donegal moved to Level 3 restrictions with their “wet pubs” allowed to remain open

There has been a very mixed reaction to the announcement that Donegal has been placed in Level 3 for three weeks. Many Dubliners are querying why “wet pubs” can remain open in Donegal but closed in the capital.

Donegal’s “wet pubs” can have 15 people drinking outside, if their pub has such facilities.

The government confirmed that County Donegal is now placed into Level 3 after NPHET said should the county needs to see restrictions increased.

It’s the extra measures were implemented on Thursday night. They’re currently at a level of 122.5 cases per 100,000 people while Dublin is at 140 cases per 100,000 people.

Many Donegal people are citing that the hospitals in the country are not heavily affected by covid, however its Northern Ireland counties are heavily effected.
