Mixed reactions to European health agency suggesting Ireland considers full lockdown again as coronavirus cases rise dramatically




There has been a very mixed reaction to the possibility of Ireland seeing further lockdown measures imposed across the country.

The European Centre for Disease Control is urging Ireland to consider the introduction of full lockdown again amidst a hard resurgence of the virus here.

Ireland is following the usual pattern of virus re-emergence following the easing of lockdown restrictions, just as it has happened in many other countries.

Last week, ‘local lockdowns’ were imposed across counties Kildare, Offaly, and Laois.
