There’s been a very mixed reaction to the possibility that students may be facing a completely new way of being taught come the start of the new academic school year in September.
The Department of Education has said today that primary pupils might only attend the classroom once a week and secondary pupils twice a week, if social distancing rules remain by the start of the new academic year.
The rest of the time, pupils will do ‘blended learning’ from home.
A spokesperson for the department also confirmed that there probably wouldn’t be a return to full lockdown, even if Covid-19 strikes again in the autumn as predicted.
