There is yet more controversy this morning as new footage has emerged showing Harambe the gorilla protecting the four-year-old boy who fell into his cage.
The large gorilla who was tragically shot dead in an effort to rescue the young boy has sparked online fury worldwide in recent days, and now it seems there will be more outrage to come as this latest footages shows the two apparently holding hands.
The Zoo has been heavily criticised for killing the large animal after a number of eyewitnesses claimed that the gorilla was showing signs of aggressive behaviour towards the boy.
Experts now believe the loud screams from the onlooking panicked the animal, causing him to drag the child at a quick speed across the water before he was brutally shot dead.
The latest video which was uploaded in the past few hours apparently shows the little boy sitting calmly next to the massive animal, and in one shot the gorilla even appears to wrap his arms around the young boy.
