More of it – Heineken is raising draught beer prices from today

Heineken plans to raise the prices it charges publicans for its draught beer products starting next month.

The increase will apply across the company’s full portfolio, including Heineken, Heineken 0.0, Coors, Tiger, Birra Moretti, Murphy’s, Orchard Thieves and Beamish, reports RTE.

The average rise of 3.1% will result in the wholesale cost per pint increasing by between 6c and 7c, depending on the brand.

The new pricing will come into force from 16 February, reports RTE.

Heineken Ireland said the company “continues to face cost increases.”

In a statement, a spokesperson said that while the business is “committed to finding and acting on ways to reduce those costs, we unfortunately need to amend our pricing”, reports RTE.

“A blended 3.1% increase will take effect from 16 February 2026 across our draught product range,” the statement said.

It added: “As strong supporters of the on-trade market we will continue to invest in a range of supports that meet customer and consumer needs”, reports RTE.

In correspondence sent to publicans and seen by RTÉ News, Heineken said any deliveries made on or after the effective date “will be charged at the new prices”.

“As an independent business, the price at which you choose to resell our products to customers is entirely at your discretion”, the letter said, reports RTE.

The announcement follows a similar decision by Diageo, which is set to raise the price of its Guinness products from 2 February.

Earlier this month, the brewer confirmed that the wholesale price of a pint of Guinness would increase by 7c, while a pint of Guinness 0.0 would rise by 10c, reports RTE.
