“More power to them” – Big support for Bray citizens allegedly forming community patrols after claims of attempted sexual assault on 12-yr-girl by refugee living at local direct provision centre

There has been been big support on social media for residents who appear to be fighting back against lawlessness in their area given that the government appear to be doing literally nothing to help them in their plight.

There are reports that concerned citizens in Bray, Co. Wicklow are forming community patrols to ensure public safety after it was alleged that a Sudanese asylum seeker attempted to sexually assault a 12-year-girl.

It was claimed that a migrant claiming to be a refugee and staying at the local Direct Provision centre attempted to sexually assault a 12-year-old girl before she was rescued by a passing couple in the town who held the migrant until Gardai arrived Gemma O’Doherty reported.

The Esplanade, a seafront hotel in picturesque town, was converted some time ago to a Direct Provision centre to house alleged refugees but now after a series in incidents linked to the young men living there, not least this latest alleged attack, the community have rallied to defend themselves and their families.
