More restrictions? 6 cases of Omicron have been detected in Ireland today

More restrictions could be on the horizon after health authorities announce that 6 cases of Omicron have been detected in Ireland today.

Earlier, the Taoiseach announced that further restrictions may be needed before Christmas.

Micheal Martin said that a second case of the Omicron variant has been detected in Ireland today and as a result, draconian restrictions or, as many believe possibly even a lockdown, can no longer be ruled out being imposed before Christmas.

If, or more likely when, a lockdown or further restrictions get imposed on the Irish public, it’s likely to be met with much anger considering the lengths people have gone to over the past 21 months as it is.
