A woman from the US state of Oklahoma, is facing charges of child neglect after she starved and fed her children dog faeces.
According to NBC 12, the woman named as Mary Elizabeth Moore was taken into custody and placed on a $100,000 bond after authorities found the two malnourished children aged three and five at their home earlier this month.
It is believed that the children were that badly malnourished they only weighed between 18 and 26 pounds respectively.
NBC 12 say court documents have shown that children were placed on a special diet via feeding tubes once they were taken into care by authorities.
They also show that one of the children had pinworms in their feces after they conducted tests.
It is understood that authorities were told by the 5-year old victim that they were made eat dog faeces.
Authorities say the case is one of the worst cases of neglect they have ever come across and believe the children would have eventually died if someone hadn’t reported the abuse.
