A 9-year-old girl was tragically killed, and a 7-year-old boy was seriously injured after being hit by a car while they were out cycling in Co. Galway.
The accident happened on the R358 road, between Ballinasloe and Ahascragh just before noon today.
The girl was pronounced dead at the scene, and the boy was rushed to hospital with serious injuries.
