A 22-year-old foreign national has been charged with the murders of Aidan Moffitt and Michael Snee in Sligo on Thursday afternoon.
Motives are sought for the reason behind the horrendous killings. It’s understood that gardai are working on the premise that the two Irishmen possibly met Yousef Palani on a dating app.
It’s understood that Palani is now what is described as a “naturalised citizen”.
Yousef Palani, who currently lives in Markievicz Heights in Sligo, but is a migrant was brought before the local District Court this afternoon.
He is charged with the murder of Aidan Moffitt, 41, on April 10 in Cartron Heights, Sligo.
Palani has also been charged with the murder of Michael Snee, 58, at City View Apartments in Sligo on April 12.
Yousef Palani, a resident of Markievicz Heights in Sligo, was brought before the local District Court this afternoon.
He is charged with the murder of Aidan Moffitt, 41, on April 10 in Cartron Heights, Sligo.
Palani has also been charged with the murder of Michael Snee, 58, at City View Apartments in Sligo on April 12.
Mr Palani had been questioned by detectives in Sligo since his arrest in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
He was taken into custody and will appear before court again on April 22nd.
