A 44 year-old motorcyclist has sadly lost his life following a crash in Dublin earlier today.
The accident involved a car and a motorbike, and happened on Ballymount Road Lower in Walkinstown just after 2.30pm this afternoon.
The motorbike rider sustained serious injuries and was taken to Tallaght Hospital, Â where he was later pronounced dead.
The driver of the car, a 60-year-old female, was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Gardaà are appealing for witnesses of the collision to contact Crumlin Garda station.
