Commuters across the country are warned to be careful this morning, as freezing overnight temperatures and snow showers have created icy conditions in some areas.
Met Eireann issued a yellow weather warning at 2am, which will remain in effect until 11am.
Frost, lingering fog patches, and icy stretches are expected until late morning today, with scattered wintry showers likely in the west.
These showers are expected to die out towards the afternoon, and bright and sunny conditions are set to develop, with temperatures hovering at around 4-7C.
