Social media has been flooded with people posting images of how expensive petrol and diesel have gotten in their local garage.
Motorists have been told to expect a ‘substantial’ increase in petrol and diesel prices at the pumps. People are saying that it’s utterly outrageous how expensive fuel has gotten and the government are getting blamed, in particular the Green Party and its leader Eamon Ryan.
The price of a litre of petrol had already risen above €2 this week.
The ongoing situation in Ukraine is being partly blamed for the rising costs.
