It has been announced that Mullingar will host the Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann in 2022.
In an announcement Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann said the Co Westmeath town will host the event after a unanimous decision by its committee.
The decision comes after the town was due to host the event in 2020 and 2021.
However due to Covid-19 pandemic the traditional music festival was rearranged to take place next year.
