No fewer than 20 people sustained injuries following a 14-car pile-up on the M40 motorway on Sunday evening.
The accident happened shortly before 6pm between junctions 4 and 2 on the southbound route.
Eleven people were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The cause of the accident is unclear.
