Ireland will wake up to the unabated fury of Storm Desmond this morning. The weather system is moving across the island at the moment, laying waste to power lines and causing widespread disruption to travel.
A status red rainfall warning has been issued for Connacht, Donegal, Clare and Kerry, with more than 70mm of rain expected.
Multiple other warnings will remain in place for the entirety of the day today, and people are advised to stay well clear of coastal areas and zones prone to landslides.
If you are due to travel by plane today, check with your airline first as a number of flights have been grounded.
