Gardaí in Co Louth have launched a murder investigation following the death of a woman in Ardee on Tuesday.
According to The Irish Mirror, the investigation comes after the woman who has been named locally as Elzbieta Piotrowska, was found dead at the house on Clonmore Estate at approximately 11:30am.
The Irish Mirror, say Ms Piotrowska who is originally from Poland was found dead at the house after suffering a decapitation.
Gardai say a man who was known to Ms Piotrowska has since been arrested and is currently being questioned in relation to Ms Piotrowska’s death.
They added an investigation is currently ongoing.
