A Muslim man in the UK has been charged with plotting a terror attack using a drone to drop a projectile or “harmful” device on a British military base.
Islamic State supporter Hisham Muhammad (25) had planned to carry out a lone wolf attack on Castle Armoury Barracks in Bury, which he visited before his arrest last June.
Police raided Muhammad’s home in Whitefield after call from his landlord who came across multiple “suspicious” items including knives, a soldering iron and a tub of wires.
In the raid officers discovered found a cache of weapons, including a tomahawk, a machete and bear-claws, jurors heard.
Mr Muhammad, who is originally from Bermuda and moved to Britain in 2013, had allegedly researched other Army and police bases.
