“My body, my choice” – Big crowd gathers at Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco to protest vaccine mandates

Five people were injured after a minor car crash on the Golden Gate Bridge during a rally against the vaccination mandate, causing major traffic delays, police said.

Two California Highway Patrol officers and three Golden Gate employees were among the injured, a spokesperson said but none were seriously injured.

Before the rally, a policeman arrested one man after he tried to stop traffic on the bridge. The man was also charged with resisting arrest.

ABC7 News Reporter Cornell Barnard spoke with some protesters who said:

“I’m advocating for choice in this issue, I don’t want people to be forced to put anything in their bodies,” said Black Lives Matter advocate Hawk Newsome.

They say that it’s utterly disgraceul and goes against evenything that stands for the American flag by shoving mandated vaccines down people’s throats who don’t want to take the jab for whatever reason.
