NCT test centres and NDLS services to reopen on a gradual basis from today onwards

A number of NCT test centres and NDLS services will gradually reopen from today onwards it has been confirmed.

In an announcement the Minister for Transport Shane Ross, confirmed that 15 NCT test centres will open from today.

It is understood that the test centres will operate on a restricted basis and a number of social distancing measures will be put in place.

The Minister for Transport also confirmed that the test centres will operate at a limited capacity and they are only open to people who had a test booked previous to March 28th.

It is believed that people who have an expired NCT certificate after that date will still have a valid NCT under the four month extension to road worthines which expires in August.

Meanwhile Minister Ross also confirmed that both the NDLS and the Driver Theory Test will begin to operate on a gradual basis from today onwards.

However Driving Tests will not recommence due to challenges posed by social distancing.
