Remember the days where you’d be walking around town and say to yourself that you might just drop by the barbers or hairdressers to get a trim, well those days are over – at least for now, but from tomorrow, people can finally get their haircut but they must make an appointment in advance.

The news comes as a relief to many in the Irish community who have been in severe lockdown for months on end.

It’s definitely great news for the personal services and hospitality sectors and their respective customers.
One Dublin hairdressers says they have a waiting list of 700 and it’s increasing by the minute.

Ciara Conway, owner of La Mode Hair & Beauty, said they have been inundated with clients looking for bookings but they are happy to still have loyal customers after months of closures. Ciara told the Irish Mirror:
“We do have 700 currently on the list and it’s increasing by the minute. That has been active since March 30 but we do have two salons so that’s 700 between the two.”

“Realistically, it’s probably going to take at least six to eight weeks to get through the backlog, that’s with the extra staff on.”
