The final episode of Neighbours in Ireland was confirmed on RTÉ2 on August 3.

The popular and long-running Australian soap opera is coming to an end after 37 years on screens after Britain’s Channel 5 announced in February that it would stop broadcasting.

Neighbours originally started on Australian channel Seven in 1985, but was dropped by the channel before being picked up by Ten the following year and becoming an international hit.
