New Ebola outbreak detected in Congo’s northwest region




A new Ebola outbreak has been detected in the northwest region of the Democratic Republic of Congo.

It is understood that at least four people have already died.

Ebola outbreaks are a relatively common occurrence in Congo, and while some medicines are now available for the treatment of the disease, Ebola continues to carry a high degree of mortality.

Congo is also in the midst of its Covid-19 outbreak, with no fewer than 3,195 infections detected so far.
