Many years too late, the Government is set to announce a new set of initiatives to tackle the shameful scourge of homelessness later today.
Taoiseach Enda Kenny, alongside Housing Minister Simon Coveney and other members of Cabinet, will launch the Action Plan for Housing and Homelessness during a press conference this morning. The event will include an update of the “progress” made so far.
The announcement comes less than 24 after the Dublin Simon Community organization announced that homelessness figures are at an ‘all-time high.’
