The new National Children’s Hospital is scheduled to be completed by 2023 according to the National Paediatric Hospital Development Board.
The project which has drawn criticism in recent months over its construction is scheduled to completed by the end of 2022 with an official opening scheduled for 2023.
Although the project is expected to exceed €2bn, the board say construction work at the hospital is ahead of scheduled and the current time line suggests the overall building work will be completed by the third quarter of 2022.
However a period of commissioning will put back its official opening until early 2023.
