The new pay deal brokered by the Labour Court has today come under heavy criticism, as some groups of nurses and midwives say that many of them will only get about €1,200 extra per year.
A three-day long strike planned for this week was called off after the deal was reached at the Labour Court.
But there is a huge backlash against the agreement today, with many branding it as an ‘insult’.
