New Scottish government law could see people prosecuted for expressing “hate speech” in their OWN HOME

Scotland’s Justice Minister Humza Yousaf has said people’s private conversations in their homes should be monitored for hate speech and breaches of politically correctness at the dinner table should be prosecuted just as public breaches are in Scotland.

Humza Yousaf’s new hate crime bill could remove the dwelling defence, insisting that ‘hateful speech’ in the home deserves to be criminalised the Times reported.

However, it has been met with some resistance with even, the judge whose recommendations led to the Bill, later advising Members of the Scottish Parliament that they should think carefully about allowing a public order offence to extend into the private sphere.
