According to a recent survey conducted by WaterWipes, which revealed that a whopping 96% of the nations dads consider themselves to be highly involved in their children’s lives.
The figures may make for good reading but a large number of fathers say they are less than happy about not receiving enough recognition for what they do at home. Figures state that 37% of Irish fathers feel that they should receive more credit for what they do at home.
The survey also revealed that 12% of Irish dads consider themselves to be the go-to parent if their child has a problem. The figure is considerabley less than that of Irish mums as the survey found that 65% of children turn to their mother if they have a problem.
