An American Airlines flight made an emergency landing in Dublin earlier today, after reports of an engine fire.
Flight AA-101, a Boeing 777-200 model en route from London to New York, landed safely in Dublin just before 12pm.
Fire crews were on stand by, but there were neither flames nor smoke visible. It is understood that an instrumentation failure was to blame for the false alarm.
