A New Zealand family were horrified to discover a hidden camera in their rented Airbnb property in Cork last month.
The recording device was concealed inside a smoke alarm in the property’s living room, and was only discovered when the father of the family was trying to connect to WiFi and detected the camera’s presence.
Despite initial reticence on the Airbnb side, the listing was eventually removed from the site and the family offered a refund.
