A number of top radio stations in New Zealand have removed all Michael Jackson tracks from their listings after the airing of Leaving Neverland documentary.

Radio stations owned by MediaWorks and New Zealand Media Entertainment will not play anymore Michael Jackson songs as a result of the allegations, in what they describe as a decision made to reflect the interests of their listeners.

It’s understood that the chief executives at the radio station say that they’re not deciding on whether or not Jackson is guilty or innocent, but that they want their stations to play music that they believe their listeners want to hear, and they don’t think that their listeners want to hear Michael Jackson music anymore.

Playlists at the Breeze, MoreFM and various other local radio stations on both the North and South Island in New Zealand have pulled all their Michael Jackson playlists and will not be playing them anymore.

The decision comes after a new documentary that has got the world talking once again about Michael Jackson and claims made against him, has been released.
