NHS staff are to receive a 3% pay increase, backdated to April.

Some unions have deemed the paltry sum ‘frankly appalling,’ ‘insulting,’ and ‘grossly inadequate.’

When taking inflation into consideration, many analysts believe that the ‘rise’ will actually result in a pay cut of around £200.
