Nigel Farage says pact between Brexit Party and Conservatives would be “unstoppable”

With embattled UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson calling for an early general election after turncoat MP’s from his own party sided with the opposition benches to sabotage Brexit under the guise of blocking a no-deal departure from the EU, Nigel Farage has offered Johnson his support.

Brexit party leader Nigel Farage has said that if the Tories enter into a general election with a clear policy for a clean break with Brussels, his Brexit Party, which topped the polls in UK’s last European elections would enter into a pact with the Conservatives.

Farage said a pact between the Conservatives and the Brexit party, which would presumably include strategically running candidates in certain constituencies so the parties do not take votes from each other would be “unstoppable”.

A strategic alliance between the Conservatives and the Brexit party would be in the interest of both parties as the UK has a first past the post electoral system.
