No slowing down: Latest figures published by the INMO show there were 552 people waiting for a hospital bed this afternoon




The overcrowding crisis at the nations hospitals has once again showed no signs of slowing down as latest figures published by the INMO has revealed there were 552 people waiting for a hospital bed across the country this afternoon.

According to the latest figures University Hospital Limerick was the most stretched today as there were 51 patients waiting for a bed.

Meanwhile St Vincent’s Hospital was the second on the list with 37 patients waiting, wholst Letterkenny General Hospital had 35.

The figures which accounts for everyone waiting on bed makes for difficult reading for the department of health as figures published by the HSE show there were 406 people waiting for a bed.

However the HSE’s figures only account for those waiting on trolleys.
