No snow on Christmas Day, Ireland will see a cold and wet afternoon and evening instead




Met Eireann has ruled out any snowfalls on Christmas Day, predicting instead a cold, wet day, with cloud cover developing later in the evening.

Christmas morning will start cold, with cloud cover throughout the country. Possible fog will develop later in the day with rain forecast for the afternoon and evening.

Temperatures are expected to range between 7c to 9c across the country.

St. Stephen’s Day is forecast to be colder, with plenty of rain, and temperatures rising to 6c.
