It has been confirmed that no second vote will take place to elect a new Taoiseach when the Dáil returns next week.
In an announcement the Business Committee of the House confirmed that a vote will not be held to elect a new Taoiseach.
The decision comes after no party called for a second vote following last week’s stalemate.
It is understood that the Dáil will reconvene next week to discuss the Coronavirus and European matters.
