No White Christmas as Ireland will see a cold, wet afternoon and evening ahead




Met Eireann has ruled out any snowfalls on Christmas Day, predicting instead a cold, wet day, with cloud cover developing later in the evening.

Christmas morning will start cold, with cloud cover throughout the country. Possible fog will develop later in the day with rain forecast for the afternoon and evening.

Temperatures are expected to range between 7 to 9c across the country.

Tomorrow, St. Stephen’s Day is forecast to be colder, with plenty of rain, and temperatures rising to 6c.
