NPHET have emphasised what the World Health Organisation has stated this week in that they say people should not become complacent in relation to the fight against covid and that the pandemic is far from over at this stage.
We’re already some 16 months into the official outbreak of covid, but it’s arguable that it has actually been ongoing since before Christmas 2019.
Whatever the case is and however it started, NPHET and WHO say that the pandemic is still ongoing, the fight is underway with the help of the vaccine and possibly herd immunity beginning to build up, but both parties say that the pandemic will continue into the winter.
