NPHET say Christmas parties should not be happening and urge the public to think ahead




The National Public Health Emergency Team have warned that any companies or work places planning to host Christmas parties should reconsider as they should not be happening.

Speaking before the National Public Health Emergency Team briefing, Dr Tony Holohan said that they surely should not be happening.

Holohan who said that information in regards to Christmas will be released in the coming weeks ahead, but warned that people should not be socialising it they plan to meet family at Christmas.

Meanwhile Dr Ronan Glynn also warned that if people begin to socialise before Christmas it will become problematic as case numbers will undoubtedly rise as we head into the new year.
