The Olympic Committee of Ireland has confirmed that it will not foot the bill for the €410k requested in exchange for Pat Hickey’s bail.

Disgraced Mr. Hickey, who has been at the center of a ticket touting scandal since the Rio Olympic games during the summer, will have to come up with the money himself, if he’s to return to Ireland on bail.

Nevertheless, the OCI is understood to be paying Mr. Hickey’s legal bill, which amounts to about half a million Euro.

The 71-year-old faces charges of ticket touting and false advertising, arising from an investigation into alleged ticket touting at Rio 2016.

Mr. Hickey denies all responsibility.

The case continues.
