Fianna Fail TD Eammon O’Cuiv has said that party needs a new party leader in order to change direction.
Speaking on RTE’s Today with Claire Byrne programme, the Galway West TD said that there was plenty of talk going on around the party’s leadership.
It is believed that a number of Fianna Fail party members have grown concerned with Micheal Martin’s leadership after he negotiated a coalition with Fine Gael.
Although O’Cuiv said he has no idea who should be the next party leader, he did state there has been issues over the coalition given that many Fianna Fail backbenchers believe that Fine Gael let the country down under their previous regime.
