The era of prohibitive air fares to the US may be coming to an end, as the arrival of low-cost carriers like Norwegian Air International and WOW into the market is likely to start a price war among more established airlines.
Return fares to some US cities may fall to below €300 for the first time.
Right now, Aer Lingus and United Airlines offer return fares to the States for about 500, but the fare structure for low-cost carriers is yet to be finalized.
