Officials from multiple districts in Moscow and other Russian cities sign open letter calling for Vladimir Putin’s resignation

Officials from multiple districts in Moscow and other Russian cities have reportedly signed an open letter calling for Vladimir Putin’s resignation.

Deputies from no fewer than 18 districts in the capital and St. Petersburg are now demanding that Mr. Putin steps down. The signatories are calling his actions ‘detrimental to Russia.’

The letter is an astonishingly brave and risky move for those involved, as Mr. Putin and his lackeys have worked tirelessly to crush any dissent across the country.

Yet, the political winds in Russia appear to be shifting direction on foot of the utterly disastrous campaign in Ukraine. Many analysts say that the crushing defeat of the Russian army will herald the fall of Vladimir Putin.
