The ladies lost to reigning champions the Netherlands in the World Cup Final. The Dutch side have now won the World Cup 8 times in total.
Incredibly, Ireland goes home with wins over USA, India and Spain. They won penalty shootouts and majorly pressurised matches.
It’s understood that a civic ceremony is currently being held for the ladies in Dublin’s Dame Street where people are cheering and singing Ole, Ole, Ole!
