January 25th marks the fifth anniversary of the murder of Garda Detective Adrian Donohoe whose killers have still not been brought to justice.
Detective Donohoe was fatally shot while responding to reports of a robbery at a Credit Union in Bellurgan, County Louth.
A five-man gang is thought to have been behind the armed robbery and subsequent murder.
Chief Superintendent Christopher Mangan speaking in regard to the investigation into the murder has stated that there has been significant progress made and valuable information garnered from the public.
The suspects involved in the murder are known to Gardaí, although they are believed to have fled the country.
According to RTE News, Chief Supt. Mangan has said that those responsible for Detective Donohoe’s death will be hunted “to the ends of the earth”.
