Four people were injured during a fracas in the Limerick town of Castleconnell on Friday evening.
It is understood one of the people involved was injured with a bladed weapon, though none of the injured parties is believed to have received life-threatening wounds.
A man in his 20s was detained in relation to the incident, and is currently held at Henry St. Garda Station in the city.
